Follow-Up Coordinator
The Follow-Up Coordinator is charged with linking new believers/interested seekers with the proper groups and individuals within the local church who will help the new believer with assimilation and ongoing growth in discipleship.
- Secure the names and contact information on each respondent.
- Secure people to serve as greeters. Organize for friendliness giving each guest a warm welcome at every juncture (parking lot, entrance, worship center, exit, etc.).
- Work with the Attendance/Outreach/Evangelism Coordinator to secure people to serve as decision counselors. Order spiritual counseling materials from the North American Mission Board for use in immediate follow-up.
- Immediately after the service, make sure all decision response cards are filled out completely and legibly. If not, find the encourager for an update and correction.
- Assign a follow-up encourager to each respondent. This person is to give the respondent discipleship information to conserve the results of the decision to follow Christ. Also, the encourager is to invite (or better yet, bring) the respondent back to subsequent worship services, church fellowships, etc.
